2025/26 AdmiralBet ABA League Semifinals Round 1, Thursday, 21 May 2026:
DUBAI BASKETBALL – BUDUĆNOST VOLI
Where? Husejin Smajlović Sports Hall, Zenica
When? 18:00
Story of the game: In the opening game of their Semifinal series, Dubai Basketball will be hosting Budućnost VOLI in Husejin Smajlović Sports Hall in Zenica.
For the first time ever, the AdmiralBet ABA League basketball will be played in Zenica, but it is not the first time that Dubai Basketball will be hosting their home game there, as they have already done that this season in the EuroLeague.
This time, they will be hosting Budućnost VOLI, a team that they already faced twice this season, both times emerging victorious from their showdown. This time, they are heading into the first battle against the blue and white with a huge confidence boost, after sweeping the Quarterfinal series against Spartak Office Shoes 2:0.
On the other side, Budućnost VOLI have overcome U-BT Cluj-Napoca 2:1 after 3 games in the Quarterfinals and also have their hearts full of confidence, as they have won the decisive Game 3 by incredible 31 points, while scoring no less than 112 points.
Budućnost VOLI have never ever beaten Dubai Basketball on their home court. However, this time the situation is rather different, as the Dubai side are playing far away from home on a neutral venue. Can this help the Podgorica side, or will Dubai maintain their unbeaten record against the Podgorica squad this season?
Match-up in focus: Perhaps the key match-up in focus this time is the one between Džanan Musa and Yogi Ferrell. Both of the two players are currently the top scorers of their respective squads, with Musa averaging 16.4 point and 3.3 assists as also Dubai’s second-leading passer, while Ferrell’s average for Budućnost VOLI is 13.8 points and 4.1 assists per game, as he also tops their assists category.
Head-to-head score in ABA: In total 3:1, On Dubai Basktball home court 2:0.
