Cedevita Olimpija claim the National Championship throne in Slovenia

In the Game 3 of the Slovenian National Championship Finals, Cedevita Olimpija downed Krka, sweeping the Final series and claiming the throne for the 23rd time.

Cedevita Olimpija are Slovenian National Champions for the 2026/27 season and by doing so, the Dragons managed to complete the triple crown for this season. This is the 23rd Slovenian National Championship trophy for the Slovenian side, which keeps them undisputed atop of the teams with the highest number of trophies in Slovenian basketball.

In game 3  Cedevita Olimpija started the game better than the home team and led by 2 points after the first quarter (22–20). By halftime, the Dragons had extended their advantage to 15 points (46–31). As it later turned out, despite the home side's determined fight until the very end, the Dragons managed to control the game throughout the second half and never seriously put their lead in doubt.

For Cedevita Olimpija, Umoja Gibson led the scoring with 20 points. DJ Stewart added 19 points, Aleksej Nikolić scored 16, and Miha Cerkvenik finished with 12 points.

On their way towards the Finals, Cedevita Olimpija first swept the Quarterfinal series against Zlatorog 2:0 and then did the same against GGD Šenčur in the Semifinals. In the Finals, the squad led from the bench by head coach Zvezdan Mitrović won in all three games against Krka and won the title for the 6th time in a row.
