Game Recap: Dubai Basketball are now just one win away from claiming their first-ever AdmiralBet ABA League title after defeating Partizan Mozzart Bet 86:81 in Game 2 of the Finals at Coca-Cola Arena and taking a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Just like in Game 1, fans witnessed a hard-fought battle that remained undecided until the final quarter. Partizan Mozzart Bet had the better start to the game and finished the opening quarter with a four-point advantage (24:20), but Dubai Basketball responded before halftime and tied the score at 42:42.

The contest remained extremely close throughout the third quarter. Partizan held a 61:58 lead late in the period, with Bruno Fernando leading the charge, and seemed to have momentum on their side. But, Dubai Basketball answered through several key possessions. Mfiondu Kabengele scored two difficult baskets, Aleksa Avramović knocked down a tough corner three-pointer and Džanan Musa added a deep triple as the home side closed the quarter on a strong note to take a 68:66 lead heading into the final ten minutes.

Dubai Basketball continued to build on that momentum at the beginning of the fourth quarter, with Dwayne Bacon scoring four consecutive points for a 72:66 advantage. The key moment came midway through the final period. Leading by four points at 73:69, the home side produced a decisive 9:0 run to extend the lead to 82:69.

Partizan Mozzart Bet continued to fight until the very end and managed to reduce the deficit in the closing minutes, but Dubai Basketball maintained control of the game and secured their second victory in the series.

The Finals series now moves to Belgrade, where Game 3 will be played on Wednesday, June 10. Dubai Basketball will have their first opportunity to secure the title, while Partizan Mozzart Bet will be aiming to extend the series on their home court.

Key moments: The decisive stretch of the game came midway through the fourth quarter. With Dubai Basketball holding a narrow 73:69 lead, the home side produced a game-changing 9:0 run. Aleksa Avramović ignited the sequence with a three-pointer, before Bruno Caboclo and Mfiondu Kabengele brought the crowd to its feet with back-to-back dunks. The run was completed in spectacular fashion by Džanan Musa, who converted an unbelievable shot from behind the backboard to make it 82:69 and put Dubai Basketball firmly in control of the contest.

Man of the match: Aleksa Avramović! Not just that he was the top scorer (alongside Musa) in the winning side, but Avramović once again delivered when it mattered most, knocking down several crucial three-pointers at key moments of the game. His corner triple late in the third quarter helped Dubai Basketball regain momentum, while another huge three-pointer sparked the decisive 9:0 run midway through the fourth period.

Can’t trick the stats: In a Finals game where every possession mattered, Dubai Basketball took excellent care of the ball. The home side committed just 5 turnovers throughout the entire contest, despite the enormous pressure and intensity of the occasion. On the other side, Partizan Mozzart Bet finished the game with 12 turnovers, giving Dubai Basketball a valuable advantage in one of the key statistical categories of the night.
