Budućnost VOLI and Head Coach Andrej Žakelj Agree on Two-Year Extension

Budućnost VOLI has announced that head coach Andrej Žakelj has extended his contract with the club for an additional two years.

The Slovenian coach took over the team in November 2023 and has achieved notable results during his tenure, implementing a recognizable system of play, dedication and a professional approach that have contributed to the team's development.

Under his leadership, Budućnost VOLI reached the ABA League Finals last season, while Žakelj was named the ABA League Coach of the Year for the 2024/25 season in recognition of his successful work.

The contract extension confirms the mutual trust between the two sides and their shared ambition to continue building a stable and competitive team, ready for the challenges that lie ahead in the coming seasons.

Žakelj will therefore continue to lead Budućnost VOLI in the years to come, aiming to achieve significant results on both the regional and European stage.

KK Budućnost Voli saopštio je da je šef stručnog štaba Andrej Žakelj produžio ugovor sa klubom na još dvije godine.

Slovenački stručnjak preuzeo je tim u novembru 2023. godine i u prethodnom periodu ostvario zapažene rezultate, uz prepoznatljiv sistem rada, posvećenost i profesionalan odnos koji su doprinijeli razvoju ekipe.

Pod njegovim vođstvom, Budućnost je prošle sezone igrala finale ABA lige, a kao potvrda uspješnog rada, Žakelj je proglašen za najboljeg trenera ABA lige u sezoni 2024/25.

Produžetak saradnje predstavlja potvrdu obostranog povjerenja i zajedničke želje da se nastavi sa izgradnjom stabilnog i konkurentnog tima, spremnog za izazove koji predstoje u narednim sezonama.

Žakelj će tako nastaviti da predvodi Budućnost Voli u narednom periodu, sa ciljem ostvarivanja značajnih rezultata na regionalnoj i evropskoj sceni.
