U-BT Cluj-Napoca Strengthen Roster with Bogdan Nicolescu and Otis Livingston II
U-BT Cluj-Napoca a have announced the first two additions to the roster for the 2026/27 season, following the confirmation of Mihai Silvășan as head coach.

U-BT Cluj-Napoca a have announced the first two additions to the roster for the 2026/27 season, following the confirmation of Mihai Silvășan as head coach. Bogdan Nicolescu and Otis LivingstonII have both joined the black-and-white squad.
Bogdan Nicolescu is the first new player to join the team. The 29-year-old Romanian forward arrives from CSM CSU Raiffeisen Oradea, where he spent his entire professional career so far.
Born on January 3, 1997, in Bucharest, Nicolescu started his professional career in 2015 with Oradea. Between 2015 and 2026, he played 502 games for the club, helping them win three Romanian League titles, in 2016, 2018 and 2019, as well as the Romanian SuperCup in 2019. He was also part of the team that finished third in the 2020/21 FIBA Europe Cup.
In the recently completed season, Nicolescu played 12 European games for Oradea in the FIBA Europe Cup, while also adding 41 domestic appearances, 38 in the Romanian League and 3 in the Romanian Cup. Overall, he has also played 46 games for the Romanian senior national team, where he is currently the captain.
Before joining the senior national team, Nicolescu was one of the key players of Romania’s historic U20 generation, which won the gold medal at the 2017 FIBA U20 European Championship Division B in Oradea.
U-BT Cluj-Napoca have also signed Otis Livingston II as their new point guard for the 2026/27 season. The American playmaker arrives from Bàsquet Girona, where he played in the Spanish Liga ACB.
Livingston II was born on October 12, 1996, in Linden, New Jersey. He played college basketball at George Mason University from 2015 to 2019, appearing in 132 games for the George Mason Patriots. He finished his college career ranked 4th in school history in points scored and 2nd in assists.
After college, Livingston II began his professional career in Denmark with Horsens IC, before continuing in North Macedonia and Serbia with Kumanovo and Mladost Zemun. He then moved to Germany, where he played for Crailsheim, Medi Bayreuth and Würzburg.
His breakthrough came in the 2023/24 season with Würzburg, where he averaged 20.5 points, 5.4 assists and an efficiency rating of 21. He was named BBL MVP and Best Offensive Player of the season, while helping his team reach the semifinals.
Livingston II later played for Galatasaray in Turkey, reaching the FIBA Basketball Champions League Final, before moving to Bàsquet Girona. In the 2025/26 Liga ACB season, he averaged 13 points, 5.1 assists and an efficiency rating of 11.7 across 34 games.
