Lazić stays, Kovačević arrives as Igokea m:tel strengthen frontcourt

Igokea m:tel have secured a power forward tandem for the future, as Aleksandar Lazić has extended his stay with the club, while Petar Kovačević arrives from Bosna after being named the MVP of the Bosnia and Herzegovina League Playoffs

Igokea m:tel have secured a power forward tandem for the future, as Aleksandar Lazić has extended his stay with the club, while Petar Kovačević arrives from Bosna after being named the MVP of the Bosnia and Herzegovina League Playoffs. Both players have signed multi-year contracts and, following strong seasons, are expected to play important roles for the Laktaši-based side.

Aleksandar Lazić was born on June 10, 1996, in Milići. Standing 203 cm tall, he plays at both the small forward and power forward positions. He began his professional career with Olimpija Ljubljana and has since built an extensive résumé featuring spells with Slovan, Dynamic, Mega, Primorska, Mornar, Budućnost VOLI, JDA Dijon Basket, Spartak Subotica and Lebanese side Maristes Champville, from where he arrived in Laktaši at the beginning of 2026. Throughout his career, Lazić has represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at all youth national team levels and is a regular member of the senior national team.

Petar Kovačević was born on October 30, 2002. The 203 cm tall forward developed through the youth system of Mega, one of Europe’s most renowned clubs for player development. During his time with Mega, he won numerous junior trophies, competed at the EuroLeague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament, and represented Serbia in its youth national team selections.

Kovačević built his senior career with OKK Beograd and Mega before joining Igokea m:tel from Bosna. Last season, he was one of the key players for the Sarajevo-based club, helping them reach the AdmiralBet ABA League Playoffs. He averaged 14.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, while his performances in the Bosnian League Playoffs earned him the MVP award.

Igokea m:tel produžila ugovor sa Lazićem i potpisala Kovačevića

Igokea m:tel je potpisala tandem krilnih centara, Aleksandra Lazića koji je produžio saradnju i Petra Kovačevića kiji dolazi iz Bosne kao MVP play off-a prvenstva BiH. Oba igrača su potpisali višegodišnje ugovore, imali su odlične sezone iza sebe i biće parvo pojačanje za tim iz Laktaša

Lazić je rođen 10. juna 1996. godine u Milićima, visok je 203 centimetra i igra na pozicijama krila i krilnog centra. Profesionalnu karijeru započeo je u slovenačkoj Olimpiji, a tokom bogate karijere nastupao je za Slovan, Dynamic, Mega, Primorska, Mornar, Budućnost VOLI, JDA Dijon Basket, Spartak Subotica i libanski Maristes Champville, odakle je stigao u Laktaše početkom 2026. godine. Tokom karijere prošao je sve mlađe reprezentativne selekcije BiH, a standardni je član seniorske reprezentacije.

Petar Kovačević je rođen 30. oktobra 2002. godine , visok je 203 centimetra i igra na poziciji krilnog centra.

Košarkaški put gradio je kroz omladinski pogon Mege, jednog od najuspješnijih evropskih klubova kada je riječ o razvoju mladih igrača. Sa Megom je osvojio brojne juniorske trofeje, nastupao na završnom turniru juniorske Eurolige, a bio je i član mlađih reprezentativnih selekcija Srbije.

Seniorsku karijeru je gradio U OKK Beogradu, Megi, a u Igokea m:tel Kovačević dolazi iz ekipe Bosne je gdje je bio jedan od najvažnijih igrača ekipe sa kojom stigao do Play off-a AdmiralBet ABA lige gdje je ostvario učinak ligi od 14.6 poena, 3,1 skok, a u Play off-u BiH Ligi ponio je MVP priznanje.
