Dubai Basketball have extended the contract of McKinley Wright IV until 2029, securing the future of one of the team’s most influential players.

Dubai Basketball have extended the contract of McKinley Wright IV until 2029, securing the future of one of the team’s most influential players. Despite already being under contract for the 2026/27 season, both sides agreed to extend their partnership following an outstanding campaign.

Wright was a very important player of Dubai Basketball in the ABA League, averaging 8.8 points and 4.7 assists per game while helping the club win the 2025/26 AdmiralBet ABA League title.

Meanwhile, in his debut EuroLeague season, Wright established himself as one of the competition’s top point guards, averaging 12.7 points, 6.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds and a PIR of 16.8. He also led the team in appearances this season, playing a total of 69 games: 38 in the EuroLeague, 29 in the AdmiralBet ABA League and 2 in the VTB SuperCup.
