Perspektiva Ilirija adds Matej Čibej to its roster

Perspektiva Ilirija has strengthened its squad ahead of the new AdmiralBet ABA League season by signing Slovenian guard Matej Čibej.

The Ljubljana club continues to build its roster for the upcoming campaign, with Čibej becoming the latest addition to the team. The Slovenian guard spent the 2025/26 season with Zlatibor Mozzart, where he competed in the ABA League 2, adding valuable regional experience before making the move to Ilirija.

Having also played in both Slovenia and abroad during his career, Čibej has developed into a versatile backcourt player capable of contributing in a variety of roles. His energy, defensive effort, and team-oriented approach are expected to add depth to Ilirija's rotation on both ends of the floor.

With the addition of Čibej, Perspektiva Ilirija continues shaping its roster ahead of the 2026/27 AdmiralBet ABA League season.
