Dubai Basketball signs Tornike Shengelia

Dubai Basketball has strengthened its squad for the 2026/27 season by signing Georgian international Tornike Shengelia.

The experienced power forward joins the club after spending the 2025/26 campaign with FC Barcelona, where he averaged 12.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 34 EuroLeague appearances. In the Spanish Liga ACB, he posted 11.2 points per game while helping Barcelona reach the league finals.

Shengelia arrives with a wealth of experience, having played 13 EuroLeague seasons and three EuroCup campaigns. During his career, he has also represented Baskonia, CSKA Moscow, Virtus Bologna and Valencia Basket, winning domestic league titles in Spain, Russia and Italy, as well as two EuroCup trophies.
