Start of the preseason period for Cibona

The players began preparations wearing the apparel of the Club’s new technical partner, marking the first time the partnership between Cibona and one of the world’s most recognizable sports brands has come to life on the court. Starting with the 2026/27 season, Cibona’s senior and junior teams will compete in adidas apparel. The partnership brings together two sporting names deeply rooted in tradition while simultaneously focused on the future and the development of new generations of players.

During the opening stage of preparations, the emphasis will be on physical conditioning, building team chemistry and gradually integrating the new players into the team’s system. In the new season, Cibona will compete in the SuperSport Premier League, the AdmiralBet ABA League and the Basketball Champions League. During the second week of preparations, the team will travel to Lošinj, where it will hold a training camp. The stay on Lošinj will be used for a more intensive training process, tactical preparation and further team bonding ahead of the start of the competitive season.

As part of the preparation period, Cibona will also play several friendly games, with the exact schedule, opponents, venues and tip-off times to be announced following final confirmation.

Cibona roster for the 2026/27 season: Ricky McGill, Lovro Gnjidić, Bruno Bubalo, Ante Garac, Roko Badžim, Khalif Battle, Jan Palokaj, Vigo Bart, Zdravko Perić, Antonio Sikirić, Renato Serdarušić, Borna Katanović, Kamaka Hepa, Domagoj Vuković, Marjan Čakarun, Vincent Trevon Mitchell and Lovro Mazalin.

Cibona’s coaching staff for the 2026/27 season will be led by head coach Ivan Rudež, assisted by Neven Nikolić and Andrej Štimac. Bruno Damjan will be responsible for the team’s strength and conditioning, alongside club physiotherapists Nikica Šišgorić and Ivan Jazbec. First-team manager Ante Pavlak will provide organizational support.

“After a long and busy summer, we have started preparations for the new season. We have come through a very demanding period during which we worked intensively on putting the team together, and when I look at what we have accomplished, I can say that I am satisfied. We will use the first week for medical examinations, assessing the players’ physical condition and completing the roster. Next week, we will travel to Lošinj, where we will continue our preparation cycle. We are looking forward to our first preseason games and then to the start of official competition in the Basketball Champions League, the ABA League and the Croatian championship,” said Cibona sporting director Marin Rožić.

The coaching staff will use the preparation period to build chemistry within the new roster and lay the foundations for the challenges awaiting Cibona in the domestic championship, the ABA League and the Basketball Champions League. Information regarding preseason games and other first-team activities will be announced at a later date.

Cibona započela pripreme za novu sezonu

Seniorska momčad Cibone okupila se u ponedjeljak, 10. kolovoza, i pod vodstvom glavnog trenera Ivana Rudeža započela pripreme za predstojeću sezonu 2026./27.

Igrači su pripreme započeli u opremi novog tehničkog partnera Kluba, čime je suradnja Cibone i jednog od najprepoznatljivijih svjetskih sportskih brendova prvi put zaživjela na parketu. Od sezone 2026./27. u adidasovoj će opremi nastupati Cibonina seniorska i juniorska momčad. Partnerstvo povezuje dva sportska imena snažno oslonjena na tradiciju, ali istodobno usmjerena prema budućnosti i razvoju novih generacija igrača.

U uvodnom dijelu priprema naglasak će biti na fizičkoj spremi, uigravanju momčadi i postupnom uvođenju novih igrača u sustav rada. Cibonu u novoj sezoni očekuju obveze u SuperSport Premijer ligi, AdmiralBet ABA ligi i Košarkaškoj Ligi prvaka. Tijekom drugog tjedna priprema momčad će otputovati na Lošinj, gdje će odraditi pripremni kamp. Boravak na Lošinju bit će iskorišten za intenzivniji trenažni proces, taktičko uigravanje i dodatno povezivanje momčadi uoči početka natjecateljske sezone.

U sklopu pripremnog razdoblja Cibona će odigrati i nekoliko prijateljskih utakmica, a točan raspored, protivnici, mjesta odigravanja i satnice bit će uneseni nakon konačne potvrde.

Stručni stožer Cibone u sezoni 2026./27. predvodit će glavni trener Ivan Rudež, uz pomoćne trenere Nevena Nikolića i Andreja Štimca. Za kondicijsku pripremu momčadi bit će zadužen Bruno Damjan uz klupske fizioterapeute Nikicu Šišgorića i Ivana Jazbeca. Organizacijsku podršku pružat će menadžer prve momčadi Ante Pavlak. 

„Nakon dugog i radnog ljeta započeli smo pripreme za novu sezonu. Iza nas je vrlo zahtjevno razdoblje tijekom kojeg smo intenzivno radili na slaganju momčadi, a kada pogledam učinjeno, mogu reći da sam zadovoljan. Prvi tjedan iskoristit ćemo za liječničke preglede, procjenu tjelesne pripremljenosti igrača i kompletiranje momčadi. Sljedećeg tjedna odlazimo na Lošinj, gdje ćemo nastaviti pripremni ciklus. Veselimo se prvim pripremnim utakmicama, a potom i početku službenih natjecanja u Košarkaškoj Ligi prvaka, ABA ligi i hrvatskom prvenstvu“, izjavio je sportski direktor Cibone Marin Rožić.

Stožer će pripremno razdoblje iskoristiti za uigravanje novog sastava i postavljanje temelja za izazove koji Cibonu očekuju u domaćem prvenstvu, ABA ligi i Košarkaškoj Ligi prvaka. Informacije o pripremnim utakmicama i ostalim aktivnostima prve momčadi bit će objavljene naknadno.
