BC Vienna bring in Canadian center Jean-David Muila

BC Vienna have added Canadian center Jean-David “JD” Muila to their roster for the 2026/27 season.

The 26-year-old arrives in Vienna after spending the previous season with Nevėžis in Lithuania’s LKL, where he established himself as a strong presence in the frontcourt. Muila averaged 9.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while his 218 total rebounds were the most in the league.

Muila began his collegiate career at Indian Hills Community College before moving to Southern Illinois. He made 55 appearances for the Salukis across two seasons.

His professional career has also included spells with Frøya Basket in Norway and Den Helder Suns in the BNXT League. Most recently, he played for the Niagara River Lions in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.

Muila will now continue his career with BC Vienna as the club prepares for the upcoming AdmiralBet ABA League season.
