ABA League Gala Night is set to take place in Ljubljana
The celebration of a major milestone – 25 years since the founding of the ABA League – will take place in Ljubljana on 4 September 2026, with several events planned throughout the day.
The central event will be a Gala Dinner at Tivoli Hall, the venue where the first game of the regional competition was played and where the first ABA League champion was crowned. During the Gala Dinner, awards will be presented to the most deserving and successful individuals and clubs, as well as to partners and sponsors who have provided significant support to the ABA League over the past quarter of a century.
The results of the voting for the Greatest 25 ABA League players will also be announced at the Gala Dinner. The voting included coaches who have previously received the ABA League Coach of the Year award, former ABA League MVP winners, as well as journalists and fans.
On Friday, Ljubljana will also host the regular ABA League j.t.d. Assembly and the ABA League Business Forum, featuring two sessions with prominent figures from the worlds of business, media and sport, including EuroLeague CEO Jesús Bueno. The first panel will focus on the future of the ABA League and European basketball, while the second will discuss how to build a better sports product.
