ABA League Business Forum held in Ljubljana
The ABA League Business Forum was held on Friday, 4 September, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Ljubljana, bringing together prominent figures from the worlds of sport, business and media.

The ABA League Business Forum was held on Friday, 4 September, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Ljubljana, bringing together prominent figures from the worlds of sport, business and media.
Organized as part of the activities surrounding the ABA League’s 25th anniversary, the Business Forum provided a platform for exchanging ideas, experiences and perspectives on some of the most important topics shaping basketball today. In front of numerous guests, distinguished speakers took part in two panel sessions covering the development of the sports product and the future of the ABA League and European basketball.
The opening session, titled “How to Build a Better Sports Product,” focused on the key elements needed to further develop and strengthen a modern sports competition.
The panel featured Dubravko Kmetović, ABA League j.t.d. Director; Sani Bečirović, former player and BC Zenit Sports Director; Zoran Panjković, TV Arena Sport Creative Director; and Peter Skvarča, Sava Re Board Member.
Coming from different areas of the sports industry, the panelists discussed the importance of cooperation between sporting organizations, media and commercial partners, as well as the challenges and opportunities involved in creating a recognizable and attractive sports product in an increasingly competitive environment.
The focus then shifted towards the years ahead, as the second panel addressed one of the most important topics in regional basketball - the future of the ABA League and European basketball.
Taking part in the discussion were Ostoja Mijailović, ABA League j.t.d. President and Partizan Mozzart Bet President; Dragan Bokan, ABA League j.t.d. Vice President and Budućnost VOLI President; Diego Guillen, Euroleague Basketball Chief Competitions Officer; and Tomaž Berločnik, Cedevita Olimpija Vice President.
The panelists exchanged their perspectives on the direction in which basketball is heading, the position and importance of the ABA League within the European basketball landscape, and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for clubs and competitions across the continent.
With two engaging sessions and an audience featuring numerous guests from the sporting, business and media communities, the ABA League Business Forum once again served as a valuable meeting point for exchanging ideas, experiences and visions for the future.
Held in Ljubljana during a historic day celebrating 25 years of the ABA League, the Business Forum underlined the importance of dialogue between key stakeholders and their shared commitment to the continued growth and development of regional basketball.
