Presenting 2026/27 teams: Borac Mozzart - Rebuilt and ready for a fresh start

After a challenging 2025/26 campaign, Borac Mozzart are entering the new AdmiralBet ABA League season determined to avoid another battle for survival and establish themselves firmly among the regional elite.

The Čačak squad went through a significant rebuilding process during the summer following a season they certainly could not have been satisfied with. Borac Mozzart finished just above the bottom of the standings and were forced to defend their ABA League status in the Promotion/Relegation series. They eventually completed the job successfully, overcoming TFT Skopje 2-0 in the series and securing another season in the top tier.

This time around, their goal will be to secure their ABA League status much earlier. Judging by the roster they have assembled over the summer, they certainly seem to have the pieces to make that happen.

Continuity begins on the bench, where head coach Saša Ocokoljić remains at the helm. Borac have also kept an important part of last season's core, led by captain Uroš Čarapić, alongside experienced Marko Jošilo, Đorđe Ćurčić and Mihailo Mušikić, among others.

At the same time, there have been some notable departures. Highly talented Pavle Nikolić has left Čačak, while Aleksa Uskoković and Nikola Manojlović are also among the players who will not be part of the team this season.

However, Borac Mozzart were extremely active on the transfer market and brought in several players who already know the ABA League environment very well. Jovan Novak, Balša Živanović, Ranko Simović and Marko Radovanović all arrived to provide experience and additional quality to Ocokoljić's squad.

The Čačak side also looked overseas for reinforcements, adding three American players - Alex Steen, Kahliel Leronne Spear and Anthony Roy - while young power forward Luka Roganović is another intriguing addition to the roster.

With a mixture of returning players, proven ABA League names, young talent and several new faces eager to make their mark, Borac Mozzart have put together a very interesting squad on paper.

After surviving a difficult 2025/26 campaign, the objective for the new season is clear - stay away from the danger zone and secure their place among the ABA League elite without the drama of another Promotion/Relegation battle.

The pieces are in place. Now it is time to see what the new-look Borac Mozzart can do on the court.
