Presenting 2026/27 teams: Cedevita Olimpija - Continuity meets fresh energy

Cedevita Olimpija are entering another AdmiralBet ABA League season with high ambitions and a roster that combines continuity with plenty of fresh energy.

Rather than opting for a complete rebuild, the Ljubljana squad have decided to keep half of last season’s team while adding seven new players to create a new-look group. Most importantly, everything will once again be guided by head coach Zvezdan Mitrović, who is set to continue the impressive work he has been doing with the Dragons.

Mitrović will have seven players from last season’s roster at his disposal. Rok Radović, Cameron Toussaint Selidji Houindo, Jaka Blažič, Derin Can Ustun, Miha Cerkvenik, Matthew Christopher Hurt and David Škara have all remained in Ljubljana and will provide the necessary continuity as the team prepares for another demanding campaign.

At the same time, seven newcomers have arrived to complete the roster. Brandon Murray, Noah Kirkwood, Anthony Cowan, Jordan Gainey, Jayce Johnson, Osayi Osifo and Urban Kroflič are the new faces who will try to help the Dragons reach their goals in the 2026/27 season.

For almost all of them, this will also be their first experience of AdmiralBet ABA League basketball. Kroflič, who arrives from Mega Superbet, is the only newcomer who has already played in the competition, while the other six are preparing to make their league debuts. That certainly adds another interesting element to this Cedevita Olimpija team, as fans will get their first opportunity to see what the newcomers can bring to the regional stage.

On paper, the mixture of familiar faces and new additions certainly looks promising. The returning players know the system, the club and the demands of the competition, while the newcomers should bring fresh quality and energy to the squad.

And perhaps Cedevita Olimpija’s biggest strength is the man putting all those pieces together. Mitrović has already shown that he knows the recipe for building a competitive team in Ljubljana, and now he has another intriguing group at his disposal.

The pieces are in place, the ambitions remain high and the Dragons are ready for another AdmiralBet ABA League journey. Now, it is time to see what this new-look Cedevita Olimpija can produce on the court.
