Presenting 2026/27 teams: FMP - Panthers ready to raise the bar

FMP are entering the 2026/27 AdmiralBet ABA League season with an interesting mix of continuity and fresh energy, hoping that the perfect balance between familiar faces and newcomers can help them take the next step.

The Panthers came very close to reaching the Play-In last season, staying in the race until the final rounds of the Play-Out stage. This time around, their goal will be to go one step further and secure their place in the postseason.

Leading that mission will once again be head coach Saša Nikitović, who will continue his work with the Belgrade squad. He will have an important core of six players from last season at his disposal, with Filip Rebrača, Aleksa Stanojević, Petar Grojić, Nikola Gašić, John Ojiako and Petar Ostojić all remaining with the Panthers. Their presence should provide the necessary continuity and form the foundation of the new-look FMP team.

At the same time, FMP have added eight new faces to the roster - Brandon Rush, Jamiya Neal, Matija Belić, Marko Kovačević, Rastko Obradović, Vukašin Mašić, Petar Radović and Nikola Rebić.

Some of the newcomers are already familiar with the regional competition, with Rebić, Radović and Kovačević bringing previous ABA League experience, while the others are preparing to make their debuts on the regional stage.

Altogether, the Panthers appear to have assembled a very interesting roster, combining players who already know Nikitović's system with newcomers eager to prove themselves. And the first signs have certainly been encouraging.

FMP have enjoyed an excellent preseason so far, recording five wins in their opening six preparation games and showing that the new pieces are quickly coming together.

Of course, the real test begins when the official games get underway. The Panthers have set the foundations, and now it is time to see whether this new-look squad can turn that potential into results in the 2026/27 campaign.
