Krka are set to host Budućnost VOLI at home in Leon Štukelj Sports Hall

2026/27 AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season Group A, Round 2, Friday, 2 October 2026:

KRKA – BUDUĆNOST VOLI

Where? Leon Štukelj Sports Hall, Novo mesto

When? 20:30

Story of the game: In the opening game of their AdmiralBet ABA League campaigns, Krka and Budućnost VOLI will be facing each other in Leon Štukelj Sports Hall in Novo mesto.

Krka, with a huge confidence boost after the successful start of their season, having won all three games played so far this season, one in the Slovenian Super Cup against Cedevita Olimpija and two in the Slovenian National Championship, will be led by a new head coach – Domen Zevnik, who is also flying high after this summer’s U18 Slovenia National Team gold medal campaign and a completely different team in comparison to the last season’s one.

On the other side, Budućnost VOLI did not make too many changes to their roster ahead of this season and, guided by head coach Andrej Žakelj, they are counting on experience in the 2026/27 season. They are entering the season following a high-flying preseason, where they have won all 6 of their games.

They have officially opened their 2026/27 season on Wednesday, when they faced Slask Wroclaw on the road in the BKT EuroCup and won.

Match-up in focus: Perhaps the key match-up of the game can be the one between two ABA League veteran point guards – Diante Baldwin of Krka and Yogi Ferrell of Budućnost VOLI. The one that wins this match-up could as well be the one that can successfully steer the wheel towards the win for his squad.

Head-to-head score in ABA: In total 8:24; in Novo mesto 7:9.
