Big ambitions meet at Dudova šuma - Spartak Office Shoes vs. Bosna BH Telecom

2026/27 AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season Group B, Round 2, Saturday, 3 October 2026:

SPARTAK OFFICE SHOES - BOSNA BH TELECOM

Where? Dudova šuma Sports Hall, Subotica

When? 19:00

Story of the Game: The new AdmiralBet ABA League season arrives to Subotica on Saturday evening, where Spartak Office Shoes will host Bosna BH Telecom in what promises to be one of the most exciting games of the weekend.

There could hardly be a more appropriate matchup to start the new campaign. Spartak Office Shoes and Bosna BH Telecom were two of the biggest success stories of the 2025/26 season, as both teams reached the AdmiralBet ABA League Playoffs before going on to finish their campaigns by lifting domestic championship trophies.

Now, they meet again with the same ambition - to prove that last season's success was only the beginning.

Spartak Office Shoes enter the new campaign with plenty of continuity. Head coach Vladimir Jovanović remains in charge, while six players from last season - Luka Cerovina, Igor Drobnjak, Dalibor Ilić, Danilo Nikolić, Amar Gegić and Boris Bodrožić - have stayed in Subotica. At the same time, the Serbian champions strengthened their roster with several interesting additions, including experienced AdmiralBet ABA League names Marko Jeremić and Stefan Lazarević, alongside Clifford Coleman III, Alonzo Gaffney and Jalon Pipkins.

Bosna BH Telecom took a very different path during the summer. Team captain Edin Atić is the only player remaining from last season's squad, while Dario Gjergja has taken over as head coach and an almost completely new team has been assembled around Atić. The Sarajevo side added plenty of regional and international experience, with players such as Adin Vrabac, Darko Talić, Nikola Popović, Reggie Perry, Gary Browne and Ryan Hawkins among those ready to begin a new chapter in the famous club's history.

For Bosna, Saturday's game also comes just a few days after their BKT EuroCup opener in Lithuania, where they suffered a heartbreaking 75:72 defeat against Lietkabelis after Ognjen Jaramaz decided the game with a three-pointer in the final second.

Bosna BH Telecom won both head-to-head encounters against Spartak Office Shoes last season, including an impressive 93:86 comeback victory at Dudova šuma after trailing by as many as 25 points. Spartak will therefore not only be looking for a winning start to the new season, but also for their first AdmiralBet ABA League victory against the Sarajevo side.

Match-up in Focus: Amar Gegić vs. Edin Atić.

Keep your eyes on the battle between Amar Gegić and Edin Atić, two versatile forwards who know each other extremely well and whose all-around abilities can influence Saturday's game in many different ways.

Gegić and Atić offer their teams size, versatility and the ability to perform several different roles on the floor. Both can handle the ball, attack the basket, create for teammates and defend multiple positions, making their individual duel particularly interesting.

Head-to-Head Score in ABA: In total 0:2; In Subotica 0:1.
