Story of the Game: Partizan Mozzart Bet and Mega Superbet will open their 2026/27 AdmiralBet ABA League campaigns on Monday evening, when the two Belgrade sides meet in the Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall.

The black-and-whites enter the new regional season with the highest possible ambitions. After finishing as runners-up last season, Partizan Mozzart Bet have set their sights on reclaiming the throne and winning a record-extending ninth AdmiralBet ABA League title. Joan Peñarroya's squad retained important pieces such as Carlik Jones, Vanja Marinković, Tonye Jekiri, Arijan Lakić and Mario Nakić, while adding plenty of quality over the summer with the arrivals of Luca Vildoza, Derek Willis, Lamar Stevens, Nikola Tanasković, Kevarrius Hayes, Kyle Allman and Ethan Thompson, among others.

They also arrive at their regional opener in excellent spirits. Partizan Mozzart Bet have made a perfect 3-0 start to their EuroLeague campaign, with their latest success coming on Friday night when they produced a major fourth-quarter comeback to defeat Bayern Munich 86:84 on the road.

On the other side will be another new generation of Mega Superbet. Head coach Vule Avdalović remains at the helm for his second season, but once again he has an extremely young and significantly changed roster at his disposal. Pavle Bačko, Ognjen Srzentić, Andrej Mušicki and Ognjen Nikolić provide some continuity, while Andrej Lučić, Uroš Šuput, Milan Šuput, Mihailo Bošković, Vladimir Kontić, Luka Paunov and several other talented youngsters are among the new faces looking to make their mark.

Match-up in Focus: Carlik Jones vs. Andrej Lučić.

The backcourt battle could provide one of the most interesting storylines of Monday's clash, with Partizan Mozzart Bet leader Carlik Jones facing one of the exciting young talents of the new Mega Superbet generation, Andrej Lučić.

Jones has already started the season in impressive fashion. The Partizan point guard was outstanding in EuroLeague where he led his team toward a perfect start of the season.

Lučić, meanwhile, arrives at Mega after joining from OKK Beograd and is among the players expected to take an important role in another extremely young team. For him and the rest of Mega's talented backcourt, facing Partizan's experienced guards will represent an immediate test at the start of the new AdmiralBet ABA League campaign.

Head-to-head in the regional league: In total 20:4; At Partizan Mozzart Bet home court 10:2.
