Spartak Office Shoes suffered their first defeat of the 2026/27 Basketball Champions League campaign, falling 84:86 against Hapoel Maoz Daniel Holon in Subotica on Wednesday evening.

Following their convincing 96:64 victory over RASTA Vechta in the opening round, Spartak were hoping to extend their winning streak, but the Israeli side made a much stronger start. The visitors dominated the opening quarter, taking a 27:14 lead, before Spartak responded in the second period to reduce the deficit to just five points at halftime (37:42).

The teams remained closely matched throughout the third quarter, with Holon maintaining a six-point advantage heading into the final ten minutes (62:56). The visitors then extended their lead to nine points early in the fourth quarter, but Spartak refused to surrender and produced an impressive late comeback. The home team managed to cut the deficit to just two points and even had an opportunity to steal the victory in the closing seconds. However, Jalon Pipkins missed a potential game-winning three-pointer, allowing Holon to escape Subotica with a narrow victory.

Pipkins led Spartak with 19 points, followed by Igor Drobnjak with 15 and Danilo Nikolić with 13.

The result leaves both teams with a 1-1 record in Group F after two rounds.
