SC Derby strengthen their backcourt with Dontay Caruthers

American point guard Dontay Caruthers is the newest addition to SC Derby.

Caruthers (31 years old, 185 cm) brings extensive European experience and is already familiar to basketball fans in the region from his time with Bosna BH Telecom, where he competed in the AdmiralBet ABA League.

He is known for his reliable ball-handling, strong playmaking abilities, and exceptional defensive skills. His defensive qualities were recognized in the 2024/25 season, when he was named the ENBL Defensive Player of the Year.
