Conclusions of the ABA League j.t.d. Assembly Session in Banja Luka

The ABA League j.t.d. Assembly has, at its session, that took place on 15 July 2019 in Banja Luka, confirmed a series of decisions with a goal of further strengthening and development of the competition.

In accordance with the founding acts of the League, at the ABA League j.t.d. Assembly changes were made in the Presidency. Cibona’s General Manager Domagoj Čavlović took over the position of the President of the ABA League j.t.d., while FMP’s President Predrag Milojević and Mornar’s President Đorđije Pavićević have taken the places of the Vice-presidents of the League.

ABA League clubs have confirmed the steps, that will lead to the selection of the new league’s management in the shortest possible period. At the same time, the ABA League j.t.d. Assembly has authorized the Presidency to take all of the necessary steps to prepare the 2019/20 season in all competitions under the umbrella of the ABA League j.t.d. (ABA League, ABA League 2, ABA Super Cup, U19 ABA League Championship).

The ABA League Assembly has thanked Krešimir Novosel and Žarko Čabarkapa on exceptional cooperation in the previous four seasons and for everything they have done to develop all of the competitions under the umbrella of the ABA League j.t.d. and wished them best of luck in the remainder of their careers.

ABA League j.t.d. Assembly has made a decision to contact EuroLeauge and ask for detailed explanation of the decision reached at the last ECA Assembly, related to the status of the ABA League and the distribution of the places in the EuroLeague from season 2020/21 onwards, with a goal of protecting the position and status of ABA League and its clubs in EuroLeague and EuroCup.

ABA League j.t.d. Assembly has confirmed 11 participating clubs for the 2019/20 ABA League 2 season and they are: Borac, Dynamic VIP PAY, Helios Suns, Lovćen 1947 Cetinje, MZT Skopje Aerodrom, Novi Pazar, Rogaška, Spars, Split, Sutjeska and Široki. The last remaining place for the new season will be allocated by a wild card.
