The orange & blue rivalry continues – Cedevita host Budućnost VOLI

Story of the game: You will probably not find any two ABA teams who had played more head to head games in the regional league than Cedevita and Budućnost in the last couple of years. To be fully precise, Cedevita and Budućnost VOLI played 16 times against each other in ABA League in the last 4 seasons, while on top of that they also faced each other couple of times in EuroCup and ABA Super Cup during that period. And now, the orange & blue rivalry continues with their clash in Zagreb.
Cedevita are in must-win situation, because of their pretty bad start of the season. The Orange troops have scored just 1 win so far in the championship, so they decided to change the head coach last week. Slaven Rimac is now leading the team instead of Sito Alonso and we will see what will be the team’s reaction.
Budućnost VOLI have scored 3 wins out of the previous 4 rounds of the regular season and they are currently holding the 3rd place on the standings. The reigning ABA League champions had a tough away game against Real Madrid in EuroLeague couple of days ago, but now is not the time to be tired. If they want to keep up with the leading teams, they need to score the win in Zagreb.
Match-up in focus: Andrija Stipanović (Cedevita) vs. Alen Omić (Budućnost VOLI). We are talking here about a true clash of titans. Two very strong centers will face each other in Dom sportova, while only one of them will leave the court as the winner.
