ABA League Round 12, Monday, 24.12.2018:

KRKA - BUDUĆNOST VOLI

Where? Leon Štukelj Sports Hall, Novo mesto

When? 18:00

Story of the game: In the last match of Round 12, Krka will host Budućnost VOLI in Novo mesto. This game is quite important for both sides. Krka are currently the last placed team on the standings and they need to start winning as soon as possible in order to escape the danger zone. On the other side, Budućnost VOLI are fighting with Cedevita and Mega Bemax for the 2nd spot on the standings and they are well aware that every match counts in this battle.

What is interesting about this duel is that Krka haven’t defeated Budućnost VOLI in ABA League since 2013! Since then, the Podgorica side scored 8 consecutive wins against the boys from Novo mesto.

Krka are not really in a good rhythm as they lost the previous 3 games in the ongoing ABA season, but Budućnost VOLI are in a similar situation, as they suffered 4 defeats in a row (3 in EuroLeague, 1 in ABA League).

It is also worth mentioning that Goga Bitadze and James Bell have been registered as Budućnost VOLI players and they might make a debut in the Blue jersey in this round.

Match-up in focus: Luka Lapornik (Krka) vs. Earl Clark (Budućnost VOLI). They are not playing at the same position, but they are the top scorers of their teams. Both of them are very capable of changing the flow of the game single-handedly and that is why it will be interesting to see who will be better on Monday evening.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 6:15; In Novo mesto 5:5.
