ABA League Round 14, Sunday, 6.1.2019:

BUDUĆNOST VOLI - IGOKEA

Where? S.C. Morača, Podgorica

When? 17:00

Story of the game: Sunday is a pretty important day for Budućnost VOLI. Jasmin Repeša will coach the team for the first time in ABA League, while he will try to help the players break the losing streak which now stretches to 8 games, counting all competitions. Still, the good thing for the Blue squad is that this week they are facing the team from whom they have never lost a single game in Podgorica!

In the history of the regional competition, Budućnost VOLI and Igokea played 7 games in Sports Center Morača and the home team triumphed all 7 times.

However, Igokea will now try to use the fact that the home side is under a big pressure. On top of that, the visitors grabbed quite an important win in the last round, so they are approaching this match in high spirits. We are about to see if that will help them to achieve a good score.

Match-up in focus: Budućnost VOLI newcomer Goga Bitadze has just picked up where he left off in Mega Bemax. Young center has already become a vital part of the Blue squad, but now he will face Igokea’s 2nd best scorer Sava Lešić, who has a lot of experience in playing important games.

It is also interesting to mention that Bitadze and Lešić are among the top 4 players on the 2018/19 ABA League overall index rating list.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 11:4; In Podgorica 7:0.
