Partizan NIS beat Budućnost VOLI in the battle for the 1st place

PARTIZAN NIS - Budućnost VOLI 87:82 (19:23, 28:22, 21:19, 19:18)
Game recap: This was indeed a special night for Partizan NIS and their fans. The black & whites defeated Budućnost VOLI in a fantastic game in Belgrade, therefore coming very close to seal the 1st place at the end of the regular season. Partizan NIS now have 1 win more than Budućnost VOLI, with just 3 rounds left to be played in the regular season. Interesting enough, the two sides are all tied in their 2019/20 head-to-head score as each team scored a 5-point win when playing at home court.
On top of this huge win, Partizan NIS have set a new ABA League single-game attendance record as 16.531 fans came to Štark Arena to watch the derby match of Round 19.
Key moments: Partizan NIS were up by 2 points in the middle of the 4th quarter – 76:74, while then Ognjen Jaramaz once again stepped up for the black & whites. Jaramaz scored 5 consecutive points to increase the lead of Partizan NIS to – 81:74. After that, the home team had no troubles staying in front, but Budućnost VOLI at least managed to reduce the gap to 5 points in the last minute, which means that the two sides are all now tied in their 2019/20 head-to-head score as we have already explained above.
Man of the match: Marcus Paige was the top scorer of Partizan NIS with 20 points, Ognjen Jaramaz added 19 points, including those 5 in the key moments of the last quarter, however we will say that the MVP of today’s match was William Mosley. The American center has completely changed the flow of this match with his outstanding defense as he helped Partizan NIS to come back from a double-digit deficit in the 2nd quarter quite quickly. After that he continued dominating the paint and his contribution to this Partizan NIS win was just enormous.
