Game recap: Borac squad have written history. Already in their very first ABA League appearance, they have grabbed their maiden ABA League victory! And they did it with style – by beating the Belgrade powerhouse Partizan NIS on the road in Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall. A thing that not many have expected to happen on their debut. The black and white of Belgrade, on the other side, that have the highest ambitions for this season, after they have been positioned at the first place in the last regular season when competition was cancelled, therefore still have to continue seeking their first win of the season.

Key moments: With 2 minutes remaining in the first quarter, the teams were tied at 17:17, but that’s when Borac have started demonstrating the kind of a performance, such as we have been used from them from last ABA League 2 season and have gone on a 13:0 run during the following 3 and a half minutes. With them being up 30:17 early in the second quarter it became clear that a comeback would be a tough task for Partizan NIS.

As it eventually turned out, too tough for this time, as Partizan NIS did succeed in making it an exciting game in the end, since they have cut the deficit to 4 points in the final minutes, but did not manage to turn it completely upside down. When Radovan Đoković scored a triple with a minute left for the score of 83:74, the battle for a pair of points was over.

Man of the match: Although Borac did prove their value especially thanks to their team performance, it was youngster Dušan Miletić, former Partizan NIS player, that shined this time. In only 16 minutes spent on court he had 10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks and a valuation of 16. He earned himself the title of the man of the match.

Can’t trick the stats: Borac have outrebounded Partizan NIS 34:28 and that’s what gave them the win in the end.
