Game recap: On the road in Gripe, Igokea have prevailed over Split and have achieved their third win in a row. Igokea are starting to follow their high ambitions, set ahead of this season and they demonstrated that with a great performance on the road in Split, where they have beaten the hosts and grabbed their third win of the season in three rounds. This win will place them in the upper half of the standings after the four rounds of the season. On the other side, Split ar holding one win in their hands so far and will be placed near the bottom after this round.
Key moments: At the end of the first quarter Igokea’s 4 minutes long 12:0 run began and they pulled away to the 11:23 lead in the 13th minute. However, Split fought back and made it anybody’s game midway through the last quarter. With half a minute remaining on the game clock, the teams were still tied at 75:75, but then Anthony Clemmons scored four consecutive free throws for Igokea in two offensive possessions, while on the other end, Marko Luković made an offensive foul. Sani Čampara scored a crazy three-pointer in the last second of the game, to make the score look decent, but he could not prevent the defeat of the yellow squad.
