ABA League Round 18, Sunday, 7 February 2021:

SPLIT - ZADAR

Where? Split Sports Hall, Split

When? 19:00

Story of the game: This week’s ABA League match of the round takes us to Adriatic coast as Split are about to face Zadar.

This time it is not just about the rivalry between these two clubs. The upcoming game is very important for each side because it might have a large impact on the relegation battle. At this moment, Split (5-12) have a slight advantage over Zadar (4-9) as the yellow-and-black crew have won their previous clash in this season – 72:66, and if they manage to keep a better head-to-head score that might help them a lot at the end of the season.

It should be mentioned that Split’s win over Zadar in the first part of the season was the first win for the yellow-and-blacks in this rivalry after 10 consecutive wins by Zadar.

Split are not really in their best shape at the moment as they lost the previous 3 games in the championship. On the other side, Zadar have ended their losing streak by scoring a huge away win against Krka in their last ABA League match.

Match-up in focus: Roko Leni Ukić has been one of the best players of Split since returning to his hometown club this winter. He recorded double-digits in 3 out of the 4 games he had played for Split in this season, while in the upcoming match he will have a direct duel against Zadar's top scorer Dominik Mavra who put on an outstanding performance in the team's last match in the regional competition. This duel will most certainly decide many things in the upcoming match.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 4:13; In Split 1:7.
