FMP prevail over Mornar in one of the best games of the season

Game recap: FMP have defeated Mornar in Belgrade in a truly spectacular game! At the end, two plays have decided the winner. Radoš Šešlija scored his first and only points in this match with less than 20 seconds remaining on the game clock to put FMP in front – 94:92, while in the following play Mornar’s best player from tonight’s game Isaiah Whitehead missed a 3-point shot at the buzzer.

FMP have therefore scored their 9^th win of the season and they are now on a safe distance from the 13^th spot on the standings. On the other side, this defeat is a huge blow for Mornar in the Playoffs race.  

Key moments: It is impossible to describe all the thrilling things that have happened in this match. FMP scored 60 points in the first half to take a 15-point lead – 60:45, however then Mornar answered back in the 3^rd quarter by scoring 27 points in that period and the visitors were in front ahead of the final 10 minutes – 70:72.

The last quarter was probably the most thrilling part of this match. FMP have once again took over the control over this match as they regained a double-digit lead – 89:79, but then Mornar made a 13-1 run to take over the lead – 90:92. Marko Pecarski then made 2 free throws to tie the score – 92:92, with just 1 minute left on the game clock.

In the last minute of this amazing match, Marko Jeremić and Derek Needham missed two consecutive 3-point shots for Mornar, while on the other side of the court Filip Čović made a perfect pass to Radoš Šešlija who scored the game-winning 2-pointer for FMP - 94:92. As we have previously mentioned, Mornar’s guard Isaiah Whitehead, who scored all of his 25 points in the 2^nd half of this match, had a chance to win the game for his team, but his 3-point shot at the buzzer was not good.

Man of the match: FMP's star player Filip Čović made a fantastic performance as he finished the match with 26 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds, while his overall index rating was 32. And on top of that, he made that assist to Radoš Šešlija for the game-winning 2 pointer.

Can't trick the stats: Rebounds! FMP had 17 rebounds more than Mornar tonight. The home side made 26 defensive rebounds and 13 offensive rebounds in this match, which is pretty impressive.
