Mornar beat Igokea and grab the last remaining ticket for the Playoffs

Game recap: Mornar have qualified for the 2020/21 ABA League Playoffs as they beat Igokea on the road in the last round of the regular season. The boys for Bar have therefore repeated the success from the 2017/18 season when they also reached the ABA League Playoffs.

Mornar have also managed to surpass Igokea on the standings, so the Bar troops have finished the 2020/21 regular season at the 3^rd place and they will face local rivals Budućnost VOLI in the semi-finals. On the other side, Igokea will enter the Playoffs from the 4th position and they will play against Crvena zvezda mts in the semi-finals.

Key moments: The visitors gained a double-digit lead in the 2nd quarter and they were up by 13 points at the halftime – 51:38. Still, the game was not over yet. Igokea refused to surrender that easily and they managed to reduce the gap to just 6 points – 79:73, with 5 minutes left to be played in the 4th quarter. But, Mornar had their point guard Derek Needham to prevent Igokea's troops of making a late comeback. Needham, who was Mornar's top scorer tonight, scored the key 3-pointer to increase the lead of his team to 9 points – 82:73 and the visitors had no problems staying in front in the rest of the match.

Man of the match: Derek Needham! Mornar's point guard scored 18 points tonight, including that key 3-pointer in the 4th quarter that kept his team on a safe distance.

Can't trick the stats: Without their starting point guard Anthony Clemmons, who missed this game due to injury, Igokea team made 13 turnovers and scored just 5 three-pointers for the entire match. Those numbers would have probably been different, if their top scorer and top passer had been in the roster for today's match.
