Game recap: The 2020/21 ABA League Finals could not get more exciting. After four games the series are tied to 2:2. Budućnost VOLI have bounced back after being 2:0 down in the series by beating both home games in Morača Sports Hall, tying the series to 2:2 in a thrilling game, that could have gone either way, as none of the teams truly dominated any part of the clash.

Key moments: Budućnost VOLI have taken the 4:0 lead right at the beginning of the game, but Crvena zvezda mts replied with a 9:0 run and it turned out that this was also Budućnost VOLI’s only lead all until the 37th minute of the game, when Nikola Ivanović took his team up 77:76. The game remained a close one and when Zoran Nikolić scored two free throws with 40 seconds remaining, the game was tied at 80:80. Justin Cobbs then put the blue and white in front again with 7 seconds left in the game (81:80). Zvezda had the final ball possession, but both Jordan Loyd and Dejan Davidovac afterwards missed. Budućnost VOLI celebrated.

Can’t trick the stats: Just as the final score would suggest, the teams had similar numbers in most of the statistical categories. However, Crvena zvezda mts had 14 turnovers and Budućnost VOLI only 7. If this changed, perhaps the Belgrade squad would be the winning side this time around.
