Game recap: Split will be celebrating this Friday evening as they scored a huge win against Igokea m:tel in Round 18 of the 2021/22 AdmiralBet ABA League season.

This was probably the best performance of the yellow-and-black troops in this season. Shannon Shorter has once again showed how much he means to this team as he scored 28 points tonight. Meanwhile, Darko Bajo with 14 points and Maj Kovačević with 12 points also played an important role in this match, while the true hero of the Split crew tonight was Nejc Barič who scored 8 out of his 14 points in the final two-and-a-half minutes of the game to seal the win for the home side.

On the other side, Igokea m:tel were simply not good enough this Friday evening. They were trailing throughout most of the game, while at the end, when they reduced their deficit to just 6 points, they simply could not stop Nejc Barič.

Key moments: Altghough Split had an 18-point lead early in the 2nd half, Igokea m:tel managed to reduce the gap to just 6 points, with less than 3 minutes remaining on the game clock – 77:71. But, then Nejc Barič stepped up for the home team. Barič scored 8 points in the rest of the match, including two simply incredible 3-pointers that sealed the win for Split. Take a look:

Man of the match: While Nejc Barič came up clutch in the final moments of the game, it should be fair to say that today’s MVP is Shannon Shorter. Split’s star player was the game top scorer with 28 points, while he also made 6 assists and 4 rebounds. His overall index rating was 27.

Can’t trick the stats: Igokea m:tel scored just 4 three-pointers for the entire game, while on the other side Split made 11 three-point shots out of 24 attempts (45.8%).
