Split looking for their first win after more than a month

Story of the game: Split are in front of a very important game this weekend as they will host Mega MIS on Sunday evening in Round 10 of the 2022/23 AdmiralBet ABA League regular season.

This match is important for Split for several reasons. First of all, they will want to end their 3-game losing streak in the regional competition and will try to score their first win after more than a month. The Yellow crew scored their last win in AdmiralBet ABA League on November 4 and if they want to avoid relegation they will simply have to grab their wins more often.

The second reason is that if Split win this match, they will tie with Mega MIS on the standings. At this moment, Split have the overall score of 2-7, while Mega MIS are at 3-6 and head-to-head score might be very important at the end of the regular season.

On the other side, Mega MIS are coming to Split in a pretty good form as all of their 3 wins in this season came in the last 4 rounds. Last weekend, the Belgrade team defeated Borac Mozzart at home, while now they want to stay on the winning path and continue their climb toward the top half of the table.

Match-up in focus: Split sharp shooter Shannon Shorter should return to the team after missing the last round match against Mornar-Barsko zlato and that should significantly improve their chances of winning this match, considering that Shorter is the team’s top scorer this season with 18.6 points per game. Yet, Shorter will have to outscore Mega MIS star player Dragan Milosavljević who’s been simply brilliant over the past few weeks. In the previous round, Milosavljević led his team toward the win over Borac Mozzart with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
