2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League Round 13, Sunday, 24 December 2023:

CRVENA ZVEZDA MERIDIANBET - SPLIT

Where? FMP Sports Hall, Belgrade

When? 19:00

Story of the game: Crvena zvezda Meridianbet are on a 7-game winning streak in the AdmiralBet ABA League and they will be looking to extend that run in the upcoming match against Split on Sunday evening.

The red-and-whites really look powerful in the regional competition where they have so far won 11 out of 12 games in the ongoing season and they are currently all alone at the top of the table. Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will end this year with two home court games against Split and Igokea m:tel, respectively, and their one and only goal is to triumph in both of them and therefore keep their distance from the other teams who are chasing the 1st place in the regular season.

At the same time, Split can’t really say that they are having an excellent season as they are currently holding the 11th place on the standings with the overall score of 4-8. Yet, we have to say that the Yellow squad have significantly improved their form lately as they have won 3 out of the last 4 games in the league and they now hope that they might claim their biggest win of the season so far.

Match-up in focus: We are running out of words to describe how good Miloš Teodosić is in this season. Legendary point guard is a true leader of this new Crvena zvezda Merdianbet team, while you have all probably seen his performance from couple of days ago in the EuroLeague match against Maccabi Tel Aviv when Teodosić put on an impressive double-double of 27 points and 14 assists.

Split will try to answer back with their star player Shannon Shorter who has recently returned to the club and helped the yellow troops drastically improve their results. Last week, Shorter led his team toward the win over Mega MIS with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists.

Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 18:2; In Belgrade 10:0.
