Split gets the important win to help in the playoff hunt beating Krka

Game recap: Split made a big step forward in their playoff hopes as they got the important road win against Krka. 

Split got off to a sluggish start as Krka opened the game with a 7:2 run. Still, the visitors quickly got back into the game and trailed by just 1 by the end of the first quarter (15:14). Split started to play better in the second quarter, they took the lead in their hands by the halftime break (35:38). The yellow-and-blacks controlled the game for most of the second half, early in the final quarter they got a 12-point point lead. It seemed like they were on their way to an easy win but Krka got back into the game to make for a thrilling finish. Split held on late in the game following a series of successful free throws. 

Key moments: After Krka cut the Split lead down to just 2 with 3 minutes remaining in the game, Slaven Rimac's team went on a crucial 6:2 run which was capped off by a monster dunk from Derek Funderburk. 

Man of the match: Toni Perković showed up for Split tonight, he was the team's top scorer with 16 points on 6/9 shooting from the field while adding 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the win. 

Can't hide the stats: Despite Krka controlling the rebounds tonight, Split still had a strong post-game. Split outscored Krka in the paint 28:46. Split's guards were doing much of the damage inside, Perković, Shorter, Kalajžić, and Kučić combined for a total of 28 points in the paint, the same amount Krka's entire team scored in the paint tonight.
