2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League Round 25, Saturday, 30 March 2024:

MORNAR-BARSKO ZLATO – BORAC MOZZART

Where? Topolica Sports Hall, Bar

When? 19:00

Story of the game: On Saturday night, Mornar-Barsko zlato will be hosting Bora Mozzart at home in their Topolica Sports Hall in Bar.

In an extremely important game in their bid to avoid the bottom of the standings Mornar-Barsko zlato will be looking for a way to upset Borac Mozzart at home in Topolica. The squad, led from the bench by head coach Mihailo Pavićević, will be trying to score a win, which could possibly lift them 2 wins above Krka after Round 25, or at least keep them a win above the Novo mesto squad with 1 Round to go in the Regular Season, depending on the outcome of the game of Krka and Cedevita Olimpija. This could be the crucial achievement of the Bar side in the struggle to avoid relegation.

On the other side, Borac Mozzart have returned to the winning path last round, as they have scored a big win over Zadar at home in Borac Hall in Čačak and will for sure wish to extend their winning run further – especially since the door to the Playoffs still aren’t completely shut for the Čačak squad at the moment.

Both teams have won once over the past 5 rounds and history reveals that mutual encounters of the two squads have always been difficult to predict in terms of outcome, as they have met each other 7 times with Mornar winning 3 and Borac 4 games. However, when meeting in Bar, the Sailors have prevailed twice and the Warriors once.

How will the battle end this time?

Match-up in focus: Perhaps the most interesting match-up of the game is coming up between Mornar-Barsko zlato top scorer and rebounder Marcus Weathers and Borac Mozzart’s top rebounder Ja’von Franklin. While Weathers is currently averaging 17.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in the AdmiralBet ABA League, Franklin has been averaging 10.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest. Who will prevail in this head to head clash and lead his team to the win?

Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 3:4; In Bar 2:1.
