Game recap: Mornar-Barsko zlato scored a huge win as they prevailed over Borac Mozzart in a thrilling ending.

The hero of the day was Mornar-Barsko zlato forward Marcus Weathers who scored 6 consecutive points in the final 90 seconds of the game to single-handedly pull off a big comeback for his team. The hosts were down bz 84:88, with one-and-a-half minute left on the game clock, while then Weathers made 6 key points to win the match for Mornar-Barsko zlato.

Mornar-Barsko zlato have therefore improved their season score to 6-19 and they have stayed above the bottom of the table as they still have 1 win more than last-placed Krka.

On the other side, with this defeat, Borac Mozzart have lost all chances of reaching the Playoffs.

Key moments: When Danilo Tasić scored a 3-pointer for Borac Mozzart to increase the lead of the visiting side to 88:84, Mornar-Barsko zlato head coach Mihailo Pavićević had to call for a time-out. His team was not in a good position. They dropped a double-digit lead from the first half and they were now down by 4 points, with just 90 seconds left on the game clock.

But, then Marcus Weathers stepped up for the home team. Weathers firstly made a dunk to reduce the gap to 2 points – 86:88, while moments later he made a difficult lay-up to tie the score – 88:88.

Mornar-Barsko zlato then defended their basket once again and they had the last ball-possession in this match and a chance to grab the precious win. Once again, it was Weathers who played the key role. He was fouled while attempting a dunk, just 2 seconds before the end of the 4th quarter, while he then made both free throws to put his team in front – 90:88.

In the remaining time, Borac Mozzart captain Uroš Čarapić pulled up for a very difficult half-court 3-pointer which did not come even near to the basket and Mornar-Barsko zlato seized the win.

Man of the match: Of course, that is Marcus Weathers and we have already described how big role he had in tonight’s game. Weathers finished this match with 25 points and 11 rebounds.

Can’t trick the stats: Mornar-Barsko zlato had 6 assists more than Borac Mozzart, while they also had 5 turnovers less than their tonight’s rival. Those numbers are quite big when it comes to a close game like this.
