Game recap: Budućnost VOLI has opened their 2024 playoffs with a blowout home win against Zadar to take a 1-0 series lead.

The first half was a close game, Zadar was a tough opponent for the hosts in the first 25 minutes of the game. It was the third quarter when Budućnost VOLI broke down Zadar and pulled away with the lead. Zadar had no answers for Budućnost VOLI in the final quarter to try and go on a comeback but the hosts were too strong tonight and are 1 win away from the semifinals. 

Key moments: Zadar cut the Budućnost VOLI lead to just 51:46 which forced Andrej Žakelj to call a timeout midway through the third quarter. The Budućnost VOLI players responded well following the timeout, they went on a massive 25:5 run until the end of the third quarter. This gave the hosts the momentum heading into the final quarter to ensure they defended homecourt. 

Man of the match: Nikola Tanasković was terrific tonight for Budućnost VOLI, he finished the night with 15 points on 7/10 shooting from the field while grabbing 7 rebounds and 3 steals. 

Can't hide the stats: Budućnost VOLI shot lights tonight from three-point range, while Zadar struggled from beyond the arc. Andrej Žakelj's squad shot 14/29 from three-point range, Yogi Ferrell hitting 5 threes, while Zadar hit 8 threes on 30 attempts.
