Presenting 2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League Teams – Dubai
There is a brand new basketball project coming to the AdmiralBet ABA League and it is becoming more and more powerful every day.
BC Dubai is about to make history as this brand new basketball project is about to start their first ever season in AdmiralBet ABA League.
The league newcomers had to start from the zero when creating the team, but they have already done so much over the summer that they will certainly play a very important role in the 2024/25 season.
The first move that BC Dubai management had to make this summer was selecting the head coach and they eventually decided to put this team into the hands of Jurica Golemac, who already has significant experience of working in the regional competition. Golemac was head coach of Koper Primorska who was a real sensation when participating in the ABA League, while after that he worked three years in Cedevita Olimpija with whom he scored some memorable wins. After a year spent in Hapoel Eliat, Golemac accepted the offer from BC Dubai and he will be the one to lead this new team in the upcoming season.
Obviously, Dubai had to create the entire roster for the 2024/25 campaign and they have so far signed 12 new players, with some pretty big names among them.
It all started with the arrivals of former star player of Cedevita Olimpija Klemen Prepelič, then 2022 ABA champion with Partizan Mozzart Bet Danilo Anđušić and three time ABA champion with Crvena zvezda Meridianbet Nemanja Dangubić.
The creation of this very ambitious project continued with the transfers of some other well-known players, including Italian internation Awudu Abass, former Cibona center Leon Radošević, former Crvena zvezda Meridinabet, FMP Soccerbet, Mega MIS and Borac Mozzart point guard Aleksa Uskoković and former Budućnost VOLI center JaCorey Williams. Dubai also signed 3 players who are about to make their debut in the AdmiralBet ABA League, including Ahmet Düverioğlu, Nate Mason and Thirdy Ravena.
And when it seemed that Dubai have made all of their major moves on the transfer market, the club surprised everyone by completing one of the biggest transfers this summer by signing the contract with former Partizan Mozzart Bet star player David Bertans who won the 2013 ABA League with the black-and-whites.
The arrival of Bertans, who spent the last 8 years playing in the NBA, shows perfectly just how ambitious this new project is. BC Dubai have definitely created a very strong roster for their first ever season in AdmiralBet ABA League and we are all excited to see them in action when the season starts.
