Where? Belgrade Arena, Belgrade

When? 20:00

Story of the game: On Saturday night, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will be hosting Igokea m:tel at home in their Belgrade Arena in Belgrade.

It’s a clash of two ambitious squads with great goals set upon them. The reigning champions, after they haven’t had their best ever Regular Season campaign, finishing fourth after 30 rounds, wish to overcome their first obstacle, which is one of the positive upsets of the season so far – Igokea m:tel, that are coming to Belgrade headed by the league’s top scorer Bryce Jones.

The two squads have been quite similar in the Regular Season, with the red and white of Belgrade finishing it with a 23:7 record in the 4th place and the Laktaši squad with a 19:11 record in the fifth. Also, both of them are heading into the game after grabbing victories recently – Zvezda 3 in a row and Igokea m:tel one. And while Zvezda have won 4 games out of their last 5 in the regional competition, Igosi won 3 of their last 5.

In the regular season, the teams met twice and both times, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet were victorious. Also, in 16 mutual encounters played so far in Belgrade, Igokea m:tel only prevailed three times.

Can they defeat the odds this time? Tune in on Saturday night and find out!

Match-up in focus: It’s going to be a true satisfaction to watch the clash of Codi-Miller McIntyre and Bryce Jones in Belgrade Arena this time around. While Mille-McIntyre has been averaging 9.7 points and 3.9 assists per game as Crvena zvezda Meridianbet’s second-leading scorer and third-leading passer, he will be facing the Regular Season’s top scorer Bryce Jones, who has been averaging 18.4 points so far this season, while also leading his team in passing with 5.9 assists dished out per contest. Who will lead his team to the precious win this time?

Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 23:8; In Belgrade 13:3.
