2025/26 AdmiralBet ABA League Group A Round 1, Monday, 6 October 2025:

PARTIZAN MOZZART BET - KRKA

Where? Belgrade Arena, Belgrade

When? 18:00

Story of the game: The new AdmiralBet ABA League campaign continues with a Monday evening clash at the Belgrade Arena, where reigning champions Partizan Mozzart Bet begin their title defense against Krka.

The black-and-whites have made it clear - the mission for the 2025/26 season is simple: defend the AdmiralBet ABA League throne. To achieve that, Partizan kept the core of last season’s championship team, including Carlik Jones, Tyrique Jones, Sterling Brown, and Isaac Bonga, while adding even more firepower with two major summer arrivals — Jabari Parker and Shake Milton. With such a deep and balanced roster, head coach Željko Obradović once again has one of the most dangerous squads in the league.

Partizan have already opened their season with two EuroLeague games, earning one win and one defeat, showing glimpses of their high potential and strong chemistry early on. Now, they return home looking to start their AdmiralBet ABA League journey with a statement performance in front of their passionate fans.

On the other side, Krka arrive in Belgrade with a very different setup compared to last season. The team from Novo Mesto has undergone significant changes, almost completely rebuilding the roster in hopes of achieving better results in the upcoming campaign. Despite that, Krka have already shown signs of progress - they have two victories in the domestic championship.

Even though Krka enter this game as underdogs, they’ve shown they can play organized, disciplined basketball. However, history is not on their side - their last road win against Partizan Mozzart Bet dates back to a full decade ago, which only adds to the challenge they’ll face in Belgrade Arena.

Match-Up in Focus: Sterling Brown vs Jan Rebec.

One of the key duels to watch will be the shooting battle between Sterling Brown and Jan Rebec.

Brown, known for his all-around efficiency and reliable perimeter shot, has become a crucial part of Partizan’s offensive system. His ability to stretch the floor and knock down big shots often opens space for his teammates to operate. On the other end, Jan Rebec brings Krka the experience and scoring touch needed to challenge stronger opponents. Rebec is fearless behind the arc and capable of heating up quickly, making him a potential game-changer if he finds his rhythm early.

Head-to-head score in ABA: In total 23:5; In Belgrade 12:2.
