Game Recap: Igokea m:tel claimed a dramatic 86:85 overtime win on the road against Krka, sealing one of the most exciting finishes of Round 18.
The Laktaši side already knew before tip-off that they had secured a place in the Top 8 thanks to Borac Mozzart suffering a defeat, but this victory still carried huge importance. Not only does it bring two additional points into the Top 8 stage, it also helped Igokea m:tel snap a four-game losing streak, restoring confidence at the perfect moment.
Krka, meanwhile, delivered another strong performance in front of their home crowd, but once again luck was not on their side. The hosts were close to adding another valuable win, yet key moments slipped away when it mattered most.
Key moments: The decisive sequence unfolded in the final moments of overtime. Krka were holding a 85:83 lead and had several chances to extend the margin, but failed to capitalize. Igokea m:tel punished those misses immediately, as Marko Jeremić pulled up in transition and calmly buried a fast-break three-pointer to put the visitors in front - 86:85.
Krka still had one last opportunity to get the win, but on the final possession Jan Rebec missed a corner three, allowing Igokea m:tel to escape with a dramatic road victory.
Man of the Match: Recent signing Aleksandar Lazić delivered his best performance in an Igokea jersey so far. Lazić finished the night with 19 points and 6 rebounds, providing stability and scoring punch throughout the game.
Can’t trick the stats: In the end, the numbers were brutally simple. One shot made the difference - Igokea m:tel hit theirs when it counted most, Krka missed theirs, and the win traveled back to Laktaši.
