Game recap: In the opening game of the AdmiralBet ABA League Semifinal series, Dubai Basketball have demonstrated strength, as they have downed Budućnost VOLI in Husejin Smajlović Arena in Zenica. It’s been a game, where the Dubai side have dominated the neutral court in Zenica all game long and have secured themselves the first win of the series. Dubai Basketball can already book their ticket to the Finals on Monday, when they will face Budućnost VOLI on the road in Morača Sports Hall in Podgorica. Budućnost VOLI, of course, have different plans and they will do their best to take advantage of their home court in Podgorica and tie the series to 1:1.
Key moments: Dubai Basketball did not waste time on their rampage towards the first win of the series, and they have already been in front by 5 points (7:2) after a minute and a half of the game. Budućnost VOLI managed to tie the game at 7:7 a minute later, but Dubai pulled away once more. The crucial one was their 11:0 run between the 7th and 10th minute of the game, which handed them their first double-digit lead of the game and they were up by 14 points after the opening quarter. As it turned out later in the game, Budućnost VOLI did not manage to fight their way back into the game for the win anymore and these were the key moments of the clash.
Man of the match: Once again Džanan Musa shined for Dubai Basketball, as he had 22 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal and a valuation of 30. He is our man of the match.
Can’t trick the stats: Dubai Basketball had 36 rebounds and Budućnost VOLI 28. That’s what helped them grab an easy win in the end.
