ABA League Finals, Round 1, Monday, 9.4.2018:

CRVENA ZVEZDA MTSBUDUĆNOST VOLI

Where? Aleksandar Nikolić Hall, Belgrade

When? 19:00

Story of the game: We have reached the very peak of the ABA League season, as Crvena zvezda mts are set to host Budućnost VOLI in the first game of the Finals in Belgrade in their home hall of Aleksandar Nikolić!

It will be the battle of the two teams that have arguably said deserved to be here throughout the season! The EuroLeague side and the most successful EuroCup side of all of the ABA League teams are not only the two finalists, but also the two teams that finished the regular season on the top two spots and… that have earned their places in the Finals thanks to their home court advantages in the semis.

Both of them have advanced to the trophy series with convincing displays in Game 3 of the Semi-finals and it is clear that the Finals will this time be tight as ever. At first sight it seems that the reigning ABA League champions have a slight advantage due to their home court advantage, due to their most convincing performances during the regular season and due to their experience of playing the ABA League Finals for several times until now. However, in series like this anything can happen and we would not like to underestimate Budućnost VOLI’s ambition, that also can turn out to be crucial here!

Match-up in focus: We will for sure be enjoying the show of Crvena zvezda mts’ second best scorer (15 points per game) and top passer (5.8 assists per game) Taylor Rochestie and Budućnost VOLI’s top scorer (14.7 points per game) and passer (4.5 assists per game) Nemanja Gordić! Whose night will it be on Monday in Belgrade? Wait and see!

Head to head in regional league: In total 17:14; In Belgrade 14:2.
