Game recap: What a game! Cibona have defeated Cedevita in a thrilling match and have therefore scored their first win in the 2018/19 ABA League season. Although Cedevita was the team who was in front for the most part of this match, Cibona crew made a big comeback in the 4th quarter, made some crucial shots in the last two minutes and scored the precious win.
Key moments: Perhaps it is better to name this part – Key shots. Cibona scored 2 crucial three-pointers in the last two minutes. Firstly, Igor Marić made the three and brought his team the lead – 73:71, while then Marko Ljubičić scored the 2nd three-pointer for 76:73, with less than a minute left on the game clock. In the rest of the match, the Wolves repelled all attempts of Cedevita to at least tie the score.
Man of the match: Every city derby has its hero and today that man was Cibona’s shooting guard Igor Marić. He scored 22 points in this match, while 20 of them came in the 2nd half!
Can’t trick the stats: Once again, Cedevita had a lot of problems in making free throws. This evening they had 30 attempts and made just 13 shots.
