ABA League 5th round, Tuesday, 13.10.2015:
PARTIZAN NIS - Sutjeska 75:67 (18:20, 25:12, 13:17, 19:18)
Game recap: Partizan NIS achieved their second win of the season, which is also their second home win of the season, after two games played in Pionir hall in Belgrade. Petar Božić's squad was better than Sutjeska and made a key difference early in the game. The guests fought back in the second half, but did not manage to turn the game completely around in their favour.
Key moments: The black and white created themselves a comfortable lead in the second quarter, more exactly between 12th and 17th minute, when they made a 15:3 run and turned a 22:20 deficit into a 35:25 advantage. This turned out to be simply too much for the visitors in their desire to return into the battle for two points.
Man of the match: Young, 21 year old Petar Aranitović, was the initiator of Partizan's game-winning run, as he scored first 8 points and together 11 points for the 15:3 break of his team and practically became the man who decided the game in the black and white favour. He finished the game with 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist. Even though he was not the most efficient Partizan NIS player throughout the game, he earned himself the man of the match honour.
Can't trick the stats: Sutjeska had 26 free throw shot attempts, while Partizan NIS had only 9. However, it still did not help them win the game due to poor execution. Their free throw shooting percentage was only 65%. It must hurt them even more since if they had scored all free throws that they missed (9), they would come out victorious.
