ABA League 5th round, Monday, 12.10.2015:
Zadar - MEGA LEKS 76:81 (15:22, 17:13, 26:22, 18:24)
Game recap: Mega Leks have achieved another big victory this season. They were better than Zadar at the tough away court in Višnjik, where they have, on the wings of French international Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, broken the opponent in the final quarter. This is the third win of the season for Mega Leks and the fourth defeat in a row for the Dalmatian side.
Key moments: Mega Leks was in front throughout the first half, but Zadar managed to cancel out their advantage in the third quarter and the, for about ten minutes of the game, the teams kept exchanging the minimum lead. The guests managed to pull away in the last five minutes, when Timothe Luwawu Cabarrot stepped up with two consecutive three pointers to put his team 68:63 up. When Đorđe Simeunović added another one, and completed the 9:0 run, Mega was up by 8 and there were only three minutes left. It turned out that it was just not enough time to turn the game around.
Man of the match: Before mentioned Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot was once again the hero for young side from Sremska Mitrovica. He hasn't only delivered 18 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and just as many steals, but has also lifted his team when it was the most important. He scored two back to back three pointers to take his team in front to the decisive advantage, as mentioned earlier and has also made a strong dunk with a minute left, posterized Marko Ramljak on the break and finally knocked down Zadar.
Can't trick the stats: Zadar was terrible with the field goal execution and despite all the energy, put into the game, it was simply impossible to win the game with only 39%-two point shot success rate.
