Game recap: Valjevo was living for basketball this Monday. Locals have filled the Hall to the last seat and created a wonderful atmosphere at the game between Metalac Farmakom and Crvena zvezda Telekom. And, two teams responded by giving them a very tough battle to watch down on the court. It was a game of nerves and eventually visitors were victorious. Crvena zvezda Telekom scored an important road win and rejoined top teams at the standings.
Key moments: Metalac Farmakom and Crvena zvezda Telekom were constantly changing the lead, but the away team managed to escape to a safe distance in the final moments of the third quarter. Visitors made 3 three-pointers in a row and increased the lead from 42:40 to 51:43. They remained in front all the way till the end.
Man of the match: We will give a vote to Gal Mekel. He was the top scorer in the winning side with 15 points, while he was also very good defensively. But, one more player from the away crew deserves to be mentioned. Youngster Boriša Simanić once again got some minutes on the court and he used them to score 6 points and to collect 5 rebounds. He was there when his team needed him.
Can"t trick the stats: This time it is enough to look at the scoreboard. Metalac Farmakom scored only 62 points… Certainly not enough to beat the reigning regional champion.
