EUROCUP: Not a good night

Union Olimpija and Budućnost VOLI suffered defeats in the third round of Eurocup.

It was quite emotional this Wednesday in Stožice Hall. Before the start of the game, Union Olimpija organized a special ceremony of retiring number 12 in honor to club legend Marko Milić. But, home team failed to complete the spectacle with a win. Telekom Baskets Bonn were simply better this evening. Visitors gained the crucial lead in the first quarter which they won by 24:13 and then rejected every single attempt of their hosts to make this game more interesting.

Budućnost VOLI could not make a break in Turkey, although they opened the game against Trabzonspor Medical Park very good. Team from Podgorica were in front by three points after the first half, but the third quarter ruined their previous work. Home side have turned things around, took over the lead and kept it until the end of the game.

Still, Budućnost VOLI had a chance to make a late comeback. They reduced the margin to 73:71 on 16 seconds before the end, but Terence Kinsey, former player of Partizan NIS, scored both free-throws and secured the win for Trabzonspor Medical Park.
